Once Blood Hound has field located your underground utilities, the ground markings can be mapped using Global Position System (GPS) technology. Blood Hound utilizes Trimble mapping-grade GPS equipment for sub-foot accuracy. The mapping results can then be provided in a variety of formats including scaled paper drawings, AutoCAD digital files, etc.
Blood Hound can also migrate the mapping data into a geographical information system (GIS). Mapping results can be provided as shapefiles projected into local or world coordinate systems. The shapefile databases can contain field derived information in addition to Client supplied data. Using GIS software, the mapping results can by updated, viewed and the databases can be queried.
